All visitors to the Birmingham News Archives may search the archives free of charge to view headlines and lead paragraphs. There is a charge to read the full text of archived stories. You can either purchase a single article or you can select from a variety of article packages.

Fees

The Birmingham News offers a variety of article packages that allow you to purchase articles in bulk at a discount price. These packages also have different expiration times to better suit your research needs.

$2.95:		single article price
$6.95:		3 article package; good for one week
$21.95:		10 article package; good for one month
$49.95:		25 article package; good for one month
$79.95:		40 article package; good for one month
$995.00:		500 article package; good for one year
$1995.00:		1,000 article package; good for one year.

When you purchase any of these article packages, you will submit your credit card and purchase the package. Please note that these pricing packages are sold for use by the credit card holder only. These pricing packages are not intended for use in institutions such as schools, colleges, or libraries. We do offer special rates for educational organizations.
