Become
a Sponsor!
Newspaper
in Education sponsors partner with The Birmingham News to support teachers
and students in our community by providing classroom sets of our newspaper
and newspaper-based educational materials to teachers at reduced cost.
If you are a teacher
utilizing NIE resources, we encourage you and your students to write the
companies sponsoring your program to let them know
how important newspapers are to your teaching and your students' learning.
Corporate Sponsorship
By
becoming a NIE sponsor, your corporation provides newspapers and
curriculum support to local schools. Schools receive these newspapers
plus additional educational materials and education workshops at a
greatly reduced cost.
As a sponsor,
companies may elect to exclusively fund:
- The NIE program
in general
- A specific
school, or several schools in our community
- A special classroom
program such as Geographic Challenge, Math Magic, Science in the News,
and other subject-specific programs throughout the school year.
- In addition
to monetary support, Newspaper In Education companies are encouraged
to volunteer at schools supported by their corporate donations.
All NIE corporate
sponsors receive the following benefits:
- Recognition
by The Birmingham News in prominent full-page "Thank-You"
announcements run bi-monthly in the newspaper
- Recognition
in schools through sponsor lists provided to schools
- Letters sent
to parents of each student in the supported schools informing them of
the sponsorship
- Recognition
through name and logo placement on any materials used in conjunction
with your donation
- Opportunities
to conduct co-promotional campaigns or events that benefit NIE
- Recognition
on this website
- An award for display
